    The original Rooty Tooty 309 looked almost identical to the No Alibi. Mr. Cromer is the only one I know that still has some in his tackle box, except maybe Tommy, but he was the one that made it in the first place.

    I remember those things back in the 90s. Caught a few crappie on them.

    Thanks guys for all the info, called James Covington at Catawba Bait and Tackle in Rock Hill S.C. and had a very good conversation about the No Alibi jig, yes he still makes them and a few shops still sell them. Now that i have one to take apart i hope to play around and make a white 1/32 oz one, just to do it. Hope to post a pic and then a pic of a speck caught on one. Really enjoyed the the search, and all the responses.--shu

    Those are James's jigs. He uses kip tail in most of the jigs. A lot of guys that fish Hartwell uses them for dock shooting or used as a float and fly set up.
