I like that one especially say I spring after some rain so the water is stained a bit more that should do well! I use one with a Hot Orange tail at that kind of time and they love it!

i couldn't find a good Roadrunner pic, but found the pattern I am talkmg about for spring and stained water....

i do have a green body similar to your Chanel I have never tried that color in the spring it seems that it would be a good crawfish color especially on smallmouth bass.

Bob I don't know if you remember the story I tell about my meeting our new neighbor several years ago, but this is the color combo that I was using that day. I had just left my boat shed and actually didn't even crank my big motor, just went around to his dock area which was old small dock and not the new one. Anyway I had been fishing maybe 30 minutes when he pulled up and ask if I was doing any good. I told him that I had only been out for the 30 minutes, but also had 10 really nice crappie. Well to shorten this a little I ended up giving him a couple of my little Roadrunners and 30 minutes later on the other side of the dock he had caught 10 and at that point he said " now you hvae really shown me something", LOL! Now a few years later and now in spring all he uses is my little Roadrunners like me, LOL!
i find this color combo to be really great especially if you happen to find some crappie on their beds in say 3' of water or less! These crappie were actually just under the walk leading out to his floating dock and all of that was shallow!

know you never told me the story but I will definitely keep some of those in my tackle box in the spring we will have to make up some road runners with that color.
