I have a lot of medium chenille that I use on most everything. On jigs that I want bulkier or bigger jigs I use large and like it more all the time. Works well on the 1/8 I tie.

You can get alot of Do-it molds in 1/8th without collars, but I looked in the catalouge and all the 3/32nds I saw all had collars. Some regular chenille you'll have to double up or get large size chenille, some even use yarn as a underbody to bulk up the body before wrapping the chenille. Your choice how you want to do it.

I guess at this point I would be better off to just say I would like to buy some 3/32 oz and 1/8oz no collar with a #4 or #2 sickle hook. If anyone poors that just send me a pm and I'll buy a few.

    Thanks

You can tie 1/8 or even 1/4 with #2 chenille and just need to double warp it, but I like #3 for sure if it has crystal in it, but even Rayon and Nylon #3 is good on either of the ones your asking about. I tied with only #2 for years before I started getting #3 more often.

i should also tell you if just Rayon or Nylon without Crystal and if more than one color it will be very different looking in #3 if use to #2. I found out the hard way ordering a 2 color chenille in #3 when I was use to #2 and it was very different when it came.

I have several molds. A minnow head mold-471084 JME-7-A- gets a lot of use, and I cut off the collar and barb when I want to hand tie with them. I just like the profile better, and the barb is more pronounced. The ball heads are all production molds in 1/32, 1/16, and 1/8 both with and without collars. Yes, 6 molds for those alone. I also have a collared w/barb mold in ball head that is one of each cuz it goes small but use it very little. Keep checking ebay and a good deal strolls through now and then.
