Default Tying materials for a good cause

There is a guy up in Michigan, known pretty well on fly fishing boards as Hairwing Jerry. He does a pretty incredible thing. He is a brain cancer survivor and runs a flytying clinic for kids with cancer during the winter, then during the spring takes them out trout fishing with their new creations on the Au Sable river. But he needs supplies. I scored a ridiculous load of tying materials in a bulk lot sold by some clueless guy on Ebay. I mean I got nine fox tails, fitch tails, skunk hair, feathers from birds I'd never heard of, caribou hair, chinchilla hair and on and on. It was like I'd bought Noah's ark and all for seventy bucks.

Needless to say I sent the guy a fat manilla envelope full of fur, feathers and thread. If any of y'all have excess of the usual suspects like bucktail, hackles, chenille, thread, peacock hearls, quills, dubbing, beads, foam, bobbins, squirrel or calf tail and the like I can find them a good home. PM me and I'll get you his email. I mean we all have stuff gathering dust on our benches and I can't think of a better cause. I'm not looking for money here, just spare materials you aren't using.

I am sure I have some stuff sitting around. Folks here have been so generous to me. The least I can do is pay it forward.

I got on this forum looking for anyone in the Oklahoma City area that might be starting tying and would want some of my stuff free. I haven't tied in a couple of years and have no plans to do so in the future - just lost interest. Most of my tying was for fly fishing. I started back in the early 70s and was hot and heavy into it when I lived in Colorado. Now I just fish once or twice a year with a few Crappie Candy or Clouser Minnows (and I have a bunch of them tied up.)

I literally have hundreds of dollars of fly tying equipment and materials he can have if I can figure out how to get it to him without costing me an arm and leg. My budget is sorta short. Everything from vises to multitudes of fly hooks and all the fur, feathers, dubbing material and stuff that a avid fly tier would have. Some of it is old but none of it is junk. It would probably fill up three of the large priority mail boxes. Anyone with suggestions on how to get it to him, please advise.

    PM sent.
