I really like this idea and think I might do this for my hand tied jigs. Does anybody have any other ideas for storing tied jigs? I know I don’t like throwing them in my normal box they are getting messed up!
I purchased 4 Plano 3600 boxes that have 1 open compartment. They were 5.99 each.
The boxes are 10.88" L X 7.25 W X 1.625 high. Model number 3607-10. I got them at Gander Mountain. I purchased 1 inch thick foam at Michaels. The foam was enough for 6-7 (close) boxes. Price was 12.75 but my wife had a discount on her phone for 50% off. I will change out the foam for 3/4, maybe 1/2 inch if I can't find 3/4 inch. I felt the foam for floral purposes was a better foam which is what I purchased. I plan on carrying the boxes in a small tackle bag making them portable. I do have a 3700 1 compartment box in my boat which holds twice as much as one of the 3600 boxes. Don't think I will need more jigs than what these boxes will hold. Can replace lost jigs during the winter. Pop

My jigs are all stored in individual plastic bags until used.
I keep used jigs in fly boxes designed for streamers. The fly boxes all use the slit foam.
