    When using hackle or marabou you will want to cut the stem at about 2.25 inches from the tip. That stem in that area should be thin enough to just thread a little in the needle eye. When you pull it through, I try to make the overall length about 2 inches.

    What a great thread, there are so many directions you can go from here, laminates????? I have one question though super glue..doesn't it have an effect on plastic? I've tried to glue eye's on and there's something happen that they fall off?

    tetnique a step farther by using this on marbu as well as bucktail and use a blue and chartruse with black bars and a red tail sortof the grizly effect so to say and have had realy great success thanks for the tips and im sure ill be using it in many other ways in the future as well thanks for shareing your tips its greatly apreciated thanks again .

    the trick works well on bucktail as well as mabu and even hackel feathers

    I love the photos of those. You can do lots of things with Sharpie. I also add perch stripes marabou or some jelly jig plastics. Have fun and catch some fish with your creations. Take care.

    Ship and Bob, do you sell kits? Not everyone is into tyeing jigs, nor do they have the hackle, feathers and what not to make them. Just a thought.
