Default Where To Get Your Materials To Start Tying!

Realize this thread was started 14 years ago so not all places are the same as when they were recommended. Just tread carefully when using old info!

Okay we are going to let members recommend places to buy materials and please try to no duplicate what is already in this thread.

Do not list your own products as this is only for where you buy your materials and not what you make!

Guys post adding ones you have bought from as I have not bought from some that I know some people here do buy from. I have bought from each of the ones above at one time or another.

Stamina tackle is a old company that I do business with for hard to find pony head parts. A little pricey but first class material. They have a varity of other jig making materials as well. Lure Parts Online Product Categories Lure Parts Online

The following are for information only. Fun stuff to look at and this material can be had from several suppliers in Links already posted. The Wapsi fly catalog will take a while to load but don't get discouraged well worth it.

    Welcome to Wapsi Fly, Inc.

I tend to get my materials from Gander and Bass Pro as I can drive to em and walk around and look at em all. I got my jigheads from a forum member that I believe no longer is on here so next time I need some I will get em from a sponsor member.

    Reinke Brothers in Milwaukee.

    Home Page

Reinke's should be considered a national treasure and hallowed ground for all tackle makers. This is where Bill Binkelman went to buy his stuff and get advice. The late Jack Remus of Jack's Jigs got his start with the help of the Reinkes.

They have just about anything you could want or need. They are also a wellspring of knowledge of tackle, tackle-making and the industry in general. Plus the family holds one of the largest collections of Do-It molds in the world.

Check out the photos and tell me you wouldn't wanna stop there at least once a week! The website is still in it's early stages, so the full inventory isn't anywhere near being online yet. Best best is to give them a call or use the contact form on the website.

Bob and Rich will do ya'up right, that's for sure.

Thumbs up for Marriot's. Intentionally ordered $100+ for free shipping. Several items ordered have been discontinued/out of stock with no ETA. They took the time to manually override the incurred shipping since the price fell below $100...

If you visit there site, bear with it. They are in the process of upgrading.
