Default All former and current Swap Box Participants

We have had 3 GREAT rounds of material trading, the box moved around quickly and we had no problems.

I'm at the point where I put in more than I take, and with all my tying stuff there really isn't much I don't have. I know other's in the group have the same dilema.

So, with this said it leaves 2 choice's.

Is there anyone who wants to take over running it?? If so let me know.

    OR

Do we split the box up and donate everything like before?? If this route is taken then the decision WILL BE!!! made by the entire group former and current alike.

Please post your comments here in the thread.

    Thanks
    Doug

The Swap box concept is good, but for me is hard to justify. If its a perpetual thing as host, I'd say take what you want, set it on a shelf and wait for another round,

If you are ending the concept, its all yours to do with as you please.

Another thought is turn it over for a raffle here on CDC.

Kdog - it's really not mine to do with as I please - The swap box has been going on and off for several years, including the 3 rounds that were just completed. That's why this HAS to be a decision by the whole group.

Unless someone takes it over, My personal vote is the split donation so it gets into the hands of the kids.

A raffle is another good idea but again, it has to be a decided by everyone.

My vote is to do whatever we can to get the younger generations involved. Give it to the kids, hold off 6 months or so and see if there is interest in another swap. By then we'll all most likely have more goodies for the swap.

Can I throw one other idea into the mix by chance?

Can we list the supplies on Ebay and then donate the funds either to Slab to help with the cost or to the Wounded Warrior project, Healing Waters, or something similar?

The downed Helo today has got me thinking even more about those who have and still lay it on the line for all of us to have the freedoms that we have.

Everyone can throw ideas in - While I still hope someone wants to take it over and keep it going. I know when we did the first two donations to CAST that I asked for it to go to the kids side - but Tom Spenser who I sent the stuff to is also the event director for Take a Warrior Fishing, the site lists the events that are coming up for both Cast for Kids

Thanks for all your input - hope to hear from everyone else!!
