It is going to be really interesting to see what adding Coralville to the mix will do for participation. The crappie coming out of our Iowa Reservoirs is good and getting better in most places I fish. The future is bright.

I fished a CrappieUSA tourney at Coralville way back, that res is awesome but by 10 am tourney day it was a froth with pleasure boats. They wait all week to get there day off and the crazy comes out Sat and Sun. I talked to a DNR officer at the boat ramp and asked him how he could handle this and he said "One drunk at a time".

Excited to have Coralville on the schedule this year, should be fun. Had a few teams from over that way fish with us last year, good group of folks for sure.

There is a shallow bay across from state park ramp that has several brush piles in it, some quite away from shore. Lots of spring fish there as they come off the rocks and summer there to feed up and it is a short distance to deeper water when weather or pressure gits high.
