Went yesterday with same results as you, some nice fish biggest 13" had to look for them found several schools but only one place we could get to bite. Ended up pulling cranks in 18-20' water suspended around 16' 20 keepers

Glad to hear people are on some fish! How do you like pulling cranks opposed to spider rigging? I've never pulled cranks for crappie.

I will finally get to get out again on Sunday, after some family stuff kept me busy since the beginning of May. Plan on doing some more Livescoping and hopefully finding some Red Rock giants.

    Default Red Rock

Love pulling cranks. Going to try pushing some the next time out. Found them last Monday in 13’ of water 6’to 8’ suspended. The week before 19’ to 21’. They were in 8’ to 12’ range. Pink has been the color of choice in the morning and Blue in the afternoon.

We love it, we were pulling and pushing at the same time, I think the pushing out did the pulling. My guess is it's a little easier to set depth, able to use smaller cranks and still get down to depth as well as maybe the boat not spooking them.
We tried spider rigging with minnows, in morning, but all we got were white bass so we switched back.
Pink in morning and blue in afternoon also worked for us.

Looking forward to your Live scope report, it's still on my wish list to get.

I have been in Missouri chasing slabs on Truman and blue cats on LOZ. The fishing has been on fire down here.

I'm a fan of pulling cranks. I think when it gets hot and the fish get a little sluggish you may get more reaction bites you dont get rigging minnows. Just my opinion. Silver/black with a red stripe worked for us the other day. Odd color but it was what they wanted that morning I suppose. Did catch some fish that were literally vomiting balls of half eaten tiny shad.

Thanks for the info guys. I may have to try crankbaiting one of these days. Sounds like a fun way to catch some slabs.

I will be out at sunrise Sunday morning. If you see someone in a black Crestliner VT18, staring down at a screen the whole morning, that'll be me. Come say hi. Good luck to everyone this weekend! Let us know how you do.

Did anyone go out today? If so, I'm hoping you had a better day than we did.

We caught a few, but nothing to get excited about. Looking forward to getting out again in the coming weeks.
