    Default Monroe

    Any reports from Monroe?
Thinking about going there in the morning. 1.5 hour drive for me.
I know the ice is off but that’s about all I’ve heard.
    Thanks in advance
    Chuck

I live on Monroe, lake up about a foot, haven’t been Fishin yet this year, watch for stumps if fishing shallow water as water level is just barely covering them up in the shallow bays and coves….Goof Luck

Wished I lived closer to Monroe. I loved fishing that lake every season when I lived in Greenwood. Oh wait, that was 40 years ago. Still have fond memories from there of my biggest Indiana bass and crappie. Hope you get a chance to go and find some fish.

I didn’t get to go because I had to take my grandson to the doctor.
But 2 of my buddies did getting there at daylight.
He said they caught a bunch of shorts and had 17 keepers between the two of them.
He was single pole jigging with only a 6 1/2 foot pole.
Surprised me they could fish right over top of them.
He is pretty much a beginner with single pole. Said they stayed around the marina all day.
    Zero fish over 11 inches.
Better than sitting on the couch. Lol

My fishing buddy wants to fish there sometime. We have never been there any suggestions I seen the Marina. We are set up for about anything spider rigging, live scoping single pole jigging or casting.

I don't go up there very often but when I do I put in at Cutrite ramp. I know how to get there, BUT I can't right off remember the hyway no. If you go to the left under the bridge it's open water main lake. If you go to the right then you have a 10mph speed limit as that's where the water gets shallower. Hope this helps!

PS. Cutrite is off Indiana 446, I looked it up for you.

East of 446 bridge when you launch at Cutright..entire upper end is all idle zone..not 10 mph. Watch for bouys in north fork before Pine Grove and bouys heading into middle fork at Grub Point..and entire upper reaches are close to any fishing and boating cause of migratory bird sanctuaries till spring when they finally open.
