    Default West Boggs...Poor timing

Boggs continues to get hammered everyday with standing room only on weekends. The timing on replacing the cleaning station is not great. Building materials are on hand and concrete appears to have been finished so it shouldn't be too long until it is finished. The gills are on the bite and crappie are setup in various stages. Not the lake for you if you want big crappie but producing barely eating size crappie numbers.

I gave up on West Boggs and never fished it one time last year. The timing of the restocking then Covid lock downs for past couple years contributed to the masses fishing it. For a 500 plus acre lake,,,it cannot sustain the fishing pressure. Hate to see this. Keep us posted.

West Boggs & Dogwood have became a lost cause. To much over fishing & to many people keeping over there limit. That's my opinion anyway !!!

Boggs gets slammed for sure. It is unbelievable how many fish come out of that small lake. Yet I see large schools of crappie all over the lake on LS and big numbers of gills. The crappie have grown two to three inches since last year. Haven't bass fished it but catch some on crappie jigs now and then. Don't think the bass tourneys are bringing big weights to the scales from what little I hear. They are moving along on the cleaning station. Rafters were going up this morning before the rain.
