    Default Lemon Today 4/22

Got on the water at 7:45 am slightly foggy, it did sprinkle about 10 am,,finally sun broke thru about time the dang wind picked up. Wind started early morning a nice 6-7 mph by noon white capping 3’ rollers wind constant 15 mph gusting to as much as 24 mph so I quit at 12:15 with 23 keepers all 10” to 14” using crankbaits. I wanted to test out electronics and adjust all of them using Mega 360, Mega Live,,as I preset it all in the garage. Turned it all on, running the mega 360 on G4N MDI 12, the Mega Live on a G3N 10 DI and low and behold,,,didn’t have to adjust anything as it worked perfectly. ML was set on Front view,,sensitivity 15, contrast 10, Forward out 50’ and water depth set at 25’. I could see the bait balls, depth of fish that I was running thru,,and catching fish. I plan on setting the forward view setting farther out next time to see how far out I can see the fish and structure. I played with settings over the 4.5 hrs while pulling PICO cranks, in 10’ to 12’ of water, with water temp 54.5 to 55.5, Lemon had pretty good looking water but a couple of spots had lots of pollen showing up on the electronics. 5 of the keepers were males, as rest were females full of eggs and belly’s swelling up..but not ready in this cold water. Speed was 1.2 to 1.4. I had 15 I threw back,,including several 9.5’s. Best PICO colors today were Killer Bee and Bone Orange…they tore the Bone colored hot orange up. All in all..pretty good outing so with this weather warming,,time is awasting..get out! Fish! And post how your doing!

Sounds like a great trip. Sure is nice when the electronics are set up good while in the garage. Can't beat that. Plus a nice mess of fish

Nice mess !! I would rather fish in a lil rain than in this wind we have been having. It's supposed to be terrible windy tomorrow.

I am sure I will need to adjust ML settings more I use it in different water and different fishing scenarios. Lemon’s average depth is 10’ but it does have a lot of different depths over its 1700 acres. Yes, wind for Sat and Sun. is 5 to 15 blowing with gusts both days to 30 mph. If I get time,,might hit Monroe and jig fish flooded timber in calm windless bay somewhere this weekend. They do have a IBF tourney this weekend. Or Mushroom hunt as this warmth will have them popping up big time.
