Do you think the anglers are getting better at finding bigger fish with the livescopes?

Possibly but the conditions they fished in were brutal. I went there late yesterday afternoon and wasn't very successful with mine.

I was not expecting much at all, conditions were horrible plus Patoka has been so bad in recent years. Maybe this is good news for the lake

Examine the weights. There is always a few good fish weighed in. 38 teams..5 teams didn’t weigh in fish. 198 fish weighed in for a total 124.95 lbs if I added it all correctly. Average weight per fish was 0.64 lbs. 3 fish 2 lbs plus with a 3.09 pig. Subtract the big fish and then divide the rest of the weight by 6 fir a fish average on the top 11 teams also. Patoka always give up a few pigs per year. Kudos to the guys fishing the tourney during a severe cold front in very windy conditions driving chill factors below freezing most of the morning and catching fish. I think it could have been a maybe larger weigh in under better weather conditions but Patoka has a long way to go to be what it used to be in crappie sizes.

Sunday, Indiana Bass had a tourney on Patoka. 77 contestants with only 40 people weighing fish. 3 fish won the tourney with a weight of 12.93 lbs. Big bass weight was 7.19 Top 4 places only weighed 3 fish, 8 weighed 2 fish each. 28 weighed 1 fish. 37 didn’t weigh a fish. Bass fishing at Patoka like Crappie fishing is at a loss when we lost all the weed cover on the lake is my opinion of the dismal fishing on our 2nd largest lake in the state. 15” size limit with daily 5 fish limit is the regs. when fishing for bass on Patoka.
