    Thanks...looking forward to hitting one or both lakes now that weather is cooling (boat traffic settling down) and hunting has started. Will wait for the Covered Bridge festival to end before hitting Raccoon though. Need to catch it before it falls too low, also. That’s why I like Cat - they only pull it down 3 ft. Hopefully soon.

    Water temps cooling fast. Was on a small reservoir Saturday and had 63-64 degrees. A friend was at Cataract same day and had 66 deg., that was before all this cold rain. Losing temps fast. Crappie were still biting though. Hoping to get out again over the next day or two given the forecast.

    Didn't use to be, but the water has cleared up a bunch over the past several years, and blacks now probably account for about 85-90 percent of the crappie I catch there. So far just one good deep spot I can count on catching whites out of that I have found.
