If you don’t fish out there any more, can you really call them “your” brushpiles? Your name came up in conversation a time or two - lol

We’ve caught everything on jigs, but we’ve been casting to submerged wood mostly. You might still be able to get them scattered pulling jigs. Seems like the colder the water, the tighter they get to cover.

I am taking my old buddy who has always been an avid bass fisherman for most of his life. Had to sell his boat this year because he is almost blind. Gonna set him beside me up front and push minnows. Not sure he will be able to see the tip of 14 ft poles. No way he will be able to see anything on the 12 inch Garmin to single pole but that’s ok. I’ll have to bait poles and remove his fish but that’s ok too.
Just happy he still wants to go out on the boat.
He is a good man and so sorry he is loosing his sight.

Awesome Chuck. Good friend you are. Take him as long as he wants to go... it will be good for him. Even if he doesn't catch anything.

That is a good thing you are doing. I hope we are all lucky enough to have friends like you if we find ourselves in a similar fate.

Water temps down to 47 degrees. Crappie are moving into wintering areas in good numbers. Had 87 in a couple hours Tues and 135 in under 3 hrs Fri. Topped 5,000 crappie for the year during the first trip.
