Default Blue Grass fish and game area

Your neighbor fished there this morning and said there were lots of people fishing in the area. Caught a couple of nice crappie but was able to find a number of bluegill in the spawning holes. No one writes about this good place very much so I thought I could maybe find out a bit of information

I fish there on Friday afternoons after work since it is close to the house and it’s not as crowded as the weekends. There is a ton of crappie in these pits but I tend to catch more dinks than keepers. From what I have seen everyone is beating the banks for bass and very few people are actually targeting crappie.

not targeting crappie, catching mostly dinks, a ton of crappie there, all this tells me that IF you don't start throwing all those dinks your catching OUT then none of them will ever get to a nice size. When fish get over populated in an area they stop growing and you'll never see very many of good size.JMO

I agree...it’s over populated. There are some dandies in there but have to sort thru lots of fish to find them. I take a bunch of shorts to eat every time I go. Lots of 8/9” fish in there.
