Thread: Cold Morning Lake Lemon

Air temp 39,,so faggy at 7:20 am you couldn’t see 10’. Water temp down to 59. By 11:30 am water temp was 63.5. Lake is muddying up from all the past rains. Cold front moving thru and wind at 10:30 picked up and was gusting to 18 mph..fish were far and few between as they had cold front lock jaw. I did keep 16 all females again between 10 to 13” and about 50 total caught but slow and scattered. Crankbaits were used,,and the hot color was blue boogie PICO as I tried 7 other colors and ended up with all 3 rods using Blue Boogie. Speed 1.6 avg. in 11 to 13’ ft of water. Cold is slowing them down alittle.

nice day.. a friend of mine went this morning to local lake with a buddy and they caught 63 in 2.5 hrs biggest 12.5 inches, all on bobber/jig 6ft deep.
