    Default Lemon on fire!

Launched and had 3 lines in the water at 8 am and in 2 hrs 20 minutes, slammed around 75 crappies in 11 to 13’ of water even in 16-18’ ft running creek channel. Never had time change colors of crankbaits, smoke a whole cigarette or drink coffee and finally at 10 am took one rod out of the water and just used 2 keeping and culling 25 crappie 11” to 15”. Bet I threw back at least a limit of 9-10” fish. Caught 5 bass pure white color as deep water is still cold with surface temp starting 61.9 and at 11 am surface had warmed up to 64. Wind cranked up at 10 am creating whitecaps and rollers but still was having doubles on and with 3 rods,,triples as I would run them the schools I would see on the mega 360. PICO colors were Chrome Clown, Blue Boogie, and Killer Bee, but as hard as the fish were feeding and hitting..I don’t think color made a lot of difference as I was running the baits 8-9’ deep at 1.6 to 1.8 mph. All females cleaned and eggs are no way ready coming out of the deeper water. I pulled over in a bay at 10:30 cut the snaps and baits off and for 30 min trolled with line out 100’ getting rid of my line twists of my power pro 10 lb braid. Lake was up 2-3 ft and stained but not muddy. Went across causeway of Monroe on way home and Cutright was getting very muddy with lake around Paynetown heavy stained and big whitecaps in main lake with rollers also. Crazy hot fishing day but the larger fish are still deep and few if any fishermen fishing way out in the bays, flats and creek channels.

Another pic of yesterday. Casting and fishing jigs if you can find the big ones. Very nice crappie. I think he uses Garmin Livescope.
