Smile Welcome, Info, Advice, and Links if possible needed.

    Hello Fellow Hoosiers,
1st I want to say THANK YOU for having aboard!

I am new here but been Crappie fishing majority of my life (Old school way minner and bobber) but looking to try new techniques and methods to increase my skills, luck, and broaden my horizons to teach my wife (who's willing and enjoys it, I FEEL BLESSED) and pass along to the grandchildren coming up! I am looking to learn how to slow troll double rig setup with the Capps & Coleman I purchased. I would like to know what rods I need (Length, Strength, action, etc.) for various depths to match the different rig depths I purchased. I am also looking for jigs to add to my arsenal as well. I have seen the Teezur & BG's but seeing what other options work if any and if any are made local. I'm interested. I haven't used a single jig since the Old Grey and Silver Paddle tail Sassy Shad (19 yrs ago) which I cant find anymore. Anyone willing to offer advice and places to purchase said items or other items if needed or recommended I would greatly appreciate it. I mostly fish Patoka, Indian, & Celina but venturing up to Monroe and some others hopefully this year. Advice on that would be welcoming as well. I am also headed down South to MS, TN, KY, GA and anywhere time will take us. BUT for now just trying to focus locally here in good Ole SOUTHERN INDIANA.

    Thanks in advance.

Once you figure out how to catch fish at the first 3 you've mentioned, it definitely won't be difficult at any others. Patoka is a very tough fishery. Electronics play a big role. I wish I could help because I mainly fish shallow myself but have tried different techniques recently

Thanks for the info. I have caught several @ those first 3 but they all have been caught Old school and without a question I've came home empty handed numerous times over prosperous times. I know, I know that's why its called FISHING and not CATCHING. Lol. What techniques you trying? I am a sponge when it comes to learning something I love and have a passion for doing. I am a firm believer in " You're either GREEN & GROWING or RIPE & ROTTEN".
