    Default 9/29 Raccoon

on lake 730 off 1145, caught 24 kept 0.. a lot of 9.5 inch fish today also caught 2-3 small white bass.
water temp 68-70 deg. Dont know if everyone is having same issue but the last 2 times bite has been very slow and feint, could hardly feel the thump more like a tiny tick. Wondering if lake is starting to turn over, last year we were tearing them at this time we caught over 500 in less then a month, 986 in 19 trips or somewhere in that range would have to check notes.
Lake is getting tons of pressure.

It's been a weird bite for weeks, haven't got them slamming jigs since early summer. Still a very defined thermocline everywhere I've been, still a ways away from turnover.

yeah figured it was, thought turnover was around 55 deg., but this is the weirdest bit Ive ever seen this time of year.. They were hitting harder when water was 86 deg and they felt like bath water when you pulled them in.

The guys fishing for bass have been blaming fishing slow down past couple weeks due to transional period and commenting it might be another couple weeks before fishing picks up. Just a FYI.

Is the water dropping? My Dad has always said crappies get a tight lip when the water is dropping.

It might be dropping a 1/10 ft every other day due to lack of rain and being so friggin dry. But that wouldn’t affect fishing.

on water 10am till 230....Same thing today, bite started out decent but very light, caught 18 total most in first hour and a half then wind really got up and it pretty much disappeared. White caps when we left. Water temp 68-69deg. and 70 deg when we left.
Most caught on Snakerivers new weedless jig body in Chart,1/32 oz jig and my buddy was using a chart body and 1/16 oz jig i believe.
