Default West Side of Lake Monroe

Hi All, my wife and I have been giving use of a condo on the west side of Lake Monroe for a few days while she is on sabbatical. I have never fished Monroe but I am planning on taking my boat. We will be on the far west side west of the fairfax ramp starting Sunday for a few days. It appears this is the deeper part of the lake and I am wondering if it will be difficult to find the crappie. My boat is small so going to the east to the idle zones on the east side of the lake probably will not be possible. Any suggestions for the West side?
Thanks Kelley thanked you for this post

I would just look for lay down trees/brush along bank and fish with weedless jigs lengthwise down trunk and out to sides.. Crappie will be starting to move shallow again as water cools.

I might have to try a little casting but I mostly long line troll unless it's spawn time.

If your trolling head to Salt Creek. Depending on which route you take to the condo you may cross a part of it. Also troll the bluff walls with condo's on top. If your pulling road runners no telling what you'll catch. Great wiper spot !

Trying to decide if I want to keep any fish if I get any. Is there a place to clean them around there? I can always clean on my truck bed if need be.

I'm not aware of any place without going into a park. [you have to pay]. Just use the tailgate. There are nice walleyes in that area too that will hit a trolled grub.
