    Default 9/8/20 Raccoon

Fish were hitting horrible today, caught 20 all but 4 or 5 were nice ones at least 11 inches or a bit better. Fished from 7:30 till 11:30, big old inboard boats with skiers were making lake feel like lake Michigan. Probably hooked 15 other fish but fell off before got to boat, they were just swiping at baits and were barely getting lip hooked.
Water temp 78 deg and choppy. Ran out of 1/32 oz jigs so was using 1/16 oz which I think effected the bite also as they sink quicker then what they were wanting.
Most caught in 8-18 ft of water with 4 caught on bobber set 6 ft deep by my fishing buddy.
No fish kept today, probably wont keep anymore till water cools a bit more.

Nice job ! Thanks for report ! Wonder if the boats will start thinning out with cooler temps. coming. With no covered bridge festival this year wonder when they will start the draw down ? Since they usually wait til after the festival. Hope they dont ruin the fall fishing. It's been bad enough with all this boat traffic in spring & all summer.

hopefully they will wait later this year to draw down.. there was 25 trucks or so parked at main ramp when we left but a bunch launched a Hollinsburg and Walker ramps also, doesn't seem like its thinning out yet.. it will have to get pretty chilly before the dip stick pleasure boaters stay home..
Was some guy in a big bass boat just running back and forth about 60-70 mph for about 20 minutes just up and down lake never stopping.
Really makes it hard to fish with people doing that, whats bad they all stay in the skinny part of the lake where everyone fishes and no one is out by the big lake/dam.

That's because most of them have no respect for other boaters let alone a fishing boat.
