Any one having any success with Crappie, Gills or Redear on John Hays, last couple of trips have been pretty sloooooooooooooow.

I'm not finding them anywhere this year. Catching plenty, but on the small side and not on beds. Buddy told me that fishes out there its been the worst year he can remember.

Sorry to hear that Slip. I don't get down that way very often but John Hayes is one of my go to places when we stay at Starve Hollow. Had a good time there last fall and met some very nice fellows. We were heading there this May until the cootie bug hit. We saw a lot of construction going on near the damn and we were told they are putting in a new boat ramp. Is it done? I live in the northern part of Ind. and everything around here has been about a week behind the normal years except the weeds. They are ahead of schedule. Good luck on your next trip.
