Default Wind sucked, but Cranked a few.

Got to Lemon and had to wait out the lightening, but was on the water at 8:30. water still 59.5 degrees all day long,,wind was 15-25 mph gusting with 1.5 whitecaps..fish still deep,,used cranks,,1.4-1.8 mph trying to keep it at 1.6 mph, no boats,,no bank fishermen as they finally started charging their fees for parking or launching,,only maybe 15 boats all day if that. It was great except boat control sucked in the wind. Kept 21 before quitting at 2 pm. But! I did catch a 15.5, 15.25, 14.75. Couple of 14.5's. All. 21 were females...caught maybe 50 all together,,threw lots of 9 inch plus fish back. Big fish came out of 16-18' Creek channel. Bait balls started moving out of the channel about 2:pm...eggs aren’t ready but it won't be long in this heat. Couple weeks at the most. Small males,,had their black color and tuxedos on.

Afer rewiring the boat 2 times,,and then ripping out a few electrical items that were never used..today is the first time to use it without hot wiring it and everything worked perfectly including the MDI 10+ transducer plugged into the Y cable. HB support basically was nothing more than moral support. Had to solve the issues myself. If anybody does have the Mega 360,,Humminbird is now telling everybody to take the shield wire that is included with the power wire and twisting it to the negative wire and running to your negative side of your fuse block or to the negative post of the battery your using for electronics. Today was the test and shakedown day for the electronics besides fishing. Now,,with running 3 lithium batteries and loosing over 200 lbs in the g3 1648,,,it rides higher in the water by at least a couple of inches..I noticed due to losse of weight,,the boat is going to react totally differently in 15-25 mph gusting wind so boat control is going to have to be maintained more and I am going to lower the engine a couple of inches On the back of the transom down in the water for more prop in the water. Love the lithiums as I can get 2-3 days fishing without charging or having to maintain them even tho it’s a big expense. When you add or change something,,there is always another adjustment somewhere to get it all to where you want it to be.
