    Default They are back!!

You likely know by now but just in case you have been house bound, the bull knats are back and ready to make your outing miserable. Cannot speak for every area but Martin and Dubois Counties have them swarming in wolf packs. They are thicker than the people packing every open lake. Bring your Buggin's if you plan to be in S Ind. Folks not prepared didn't last long and few other repellants work. Been fishing Dogwood a lot this year along with hundreds of others. Fishing has been good overall for crappie and bass but gills are few and little for me and accidental. Most water is gin clear and weeds are getting thick. All the stumps are still there and causing havoc for you guys who think they are on West Boggs. The channel markers have drifted off so don't rely on them to keep you off stumps.

Thanks for the update! Bug reports are about as important as fish reports. Them gnats can sure make a fishing trip miserable!

Had to wear a head net to clean fish tonite besides the Buggins and deet. And long sleeve shirt. Sucks!

Tried something new today after reading some reviews..it’s called bug soother and on Amazon. This stuff works way better than Buggins of which I still have a couple of bottles and been using it. Way hell better and longer. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=bug+sooth...b_sb_ss_i_5_11

How is the smell of soother? Hate the smell of buggins. But I hate those buggers crawling on my bald spot.

I personally don’t think the smell is as bad as Buggins,,kinda a cross between lemon and vanillia but,,for 4 hrs wearing the stuff working the garden up and sweating,,not one bite as they were buzzing hell out of me. Definitely lasts longer.
