I had a 308. It was my first ultra light. Used it about 45 years ago in high school.

I don't fish with mine anymore, but still have a couple that work just fine.

I've got two Vintage Ambassador baitcasters. I still use one for catfishing, (indestructible), but have the older of the two put away for safe keeping.

I used to have a couple of the 300's .... sold them to a friend who wanted them for use in Long Distance Casting Tournaments. He took the bails off, loaded them with light line, and used them in the tournaments of the local Sportsmen's Club (back about 50some odd years ago).
