Default Today’s Mega 360 test and pics.

Got out today after fixing glitch, and ran to West Boggs Lake, wind cracking 15 mph, air temp finally got up to 50, only couple other boats on lake. Settings used today were default Mega DI, SI, and Mega 360 settings, sensitivity mostly at 10, contrast at 10, and this time, I tried the water column setting in -1 to clean up the water column that shows under boat. Switched between SI using the Mega 360 and back to Mega 360 front view.
    Look for the fish!

I left the rods at home, but did turn a couple of boats on couple of spots of crappies. Done testing, next time I get a chance to go out, I will have the rods with me.

Thanks for sharing. What an awesome system you have there. I'm going with a very similar network on my new boat... and I can't wait to get it and get on the water again.

I still am waiting on a Y splitter cycle as Humminbird has yet to ship any out as I am hearing it was sub contracted out and Humminbird doesn’t have them yet to ship maybe? It would be nice to use my helix DI+ Mega G3N transducer for a better 2d pic.

There is not a lot of cover in West Boggs. I’m on the south side of a large bay and sun sets at 5:30 pm, and stick up,,,trees, are just a couple feet below surface in places. Pretty old also as they were there when the lake was built in early 70. You can find that spot as it’s got a warning bouy marking that point with a shallow bay on both sides on the west side of Boggs. Lake was up a foot or so due to last rain also.

Bigger is always better. Check out the Electronics section of Electronics or crappie.com is looking for used as there is some pretty good deals right now. Or if new, shop around as lots of deals on sale. I run a Mega 10 DI+ G3N on front for Mega 360 and also a 7 DI G3N Mega for SD, DI, and charts on front. On the console, I have a mega 9 SI G2N and the 3 are also networked. This works for me. All 3 gives great views. Go to a store that you can play with to make up your mind as to what you want to buy.
