I needed an ice breaker on Lemon yesterday. Went over there and the ramp was froze in. I walked about 5 foot out on the ice and it only cracked .

WOW! As I planned on Lemon Thursday. I went over to West Boggs today, 10-12 boats on the water and tried to get my new Mega 360 to work to set up and dial in and nothing but problems as for over 3 hrs, floated on the lake checking every imaginable angle out with 2 different idiot screens popping up telling me to retract it or place in the water when it was in the water. Got back home and checked out power to all connections with dang power probes. Had boat all tore up again, even reset all default settings on all helix units messing those settings up again. Fiannly got on bbc forum, contacted Wayne, the Humminbird guru, and after explaining it all to him, only thing he could think of was to clean the 2 itty bitty wet water probes on top of the puck off, they turn it on and off as you place it into water. so I took dawn dish soap and a clean bucket of water out, washed them off, stuck the Mega 360 in a 5 gal bucket of water and it worked like a charm. Will spend tomoorow putting boat back together and working on re setting everything again and find some water Thursday to play with the new Mega 360, but won’t go to Lemon.

I was hoping that maybe by Friday the ice will be thinner on Lemon

29 degrees for a low at Bloomington now. If ice was that thick at Lemon, bet it still is this morning as the launch is pretty hidden from sunlight during the day.

Looks to be like no fishable ice in my area until mid January.

Well starting tonight we are gonna be making some ice. That's the good news. The bad news is highs in the 40's return the end of next week. If we can just get a 1-2" base to work with...could have some fishable ice in a week or so.

It was a balmy 5 when I woke up this morning. Wind howling around 20-25 mph. But my "local" hot spot is locked up. Now if that snow will just stay off it later today. I will probably be probing around come Wednesday morning.
