Well, the season is over. Pitiful for ice in my neck of the woods for about the 4th or 5th year in a row. Walleye fishing on Erie anyone?

Most years I go May or June for numbers. Looking at early April this year for big fish on a jig bite.

Default Yep, Dawn Dish soap to clean the puck transducer

I clean my transducer with dish soap to keep any scum off it. This helps with the signals too.

I normally go mid-May...but thinking about July this year, try something new.

Last year there was a good drift or troll bite June and July. We limited out in and hour or two every time out, but were having to use the bump board on all of them. Good for the future for sure, but not if you are after a trophy.
