Exactly what I said in post 47 "I just like being out on the water, its peaceful. "

That's one of the reason we all fish

Yes a limit is a limit, but how you get it is another story. We all have different opinions on how a limit should be acquired. Mine is about sportsmanship and fair chase, to overload the fishermans odds with as many poles as you want is not fair chase to me, just my opinion.

I don't know what the fine is for being over the limit. I would say at least loss of license for at least a year(365days), loss of all equipment, 1 day in jail for every fish over, along with a large fine.

A pole limit would only effect the time it would take to reach your limit, as does using the newer electronics on the market would. Think about it, the guy with a 20yr old Jon boat pushing 4 long poles may be as efficient as the guy with 2-3000$ of electronics, so not much difference in time on the water. I see it as just another method of crappie fishing.
I for one never keep my limit, but enjoy the extra action.

Personally 3 poles is more than enough gear to deal with especially when you add a second person and 3 more poles. I’d say if you want more than 3 poles in the water take more people.
