    Default Great Fall Weather (10/17)

Buddy Lee and I made the drive to a favorite reservoir this afternoon and were greeted with lighter than forecast winds, sunny skies and only a few boats on the water. Also got a great fall foliage show. Even better, the bite was on as we landed over 200 in just 4 hours of fishing. Water a little stained and down to 67 degrees. May take advantage of this weather pattern and try a different lake this afternoon, as next weeks forecast doesn't look too promising.

Nice. Were you casting or trolling? How deep were they?

Casting. Some as shallow as 5’ to as deep as 19’, but the best bite was toward the middle of that range, say 8’-14’
