Default Windy day at Raccoon 10/15/19

Wind was supposed to be 12-13 mph but seemed much stronger, fished most of day(11:45 to 4:45) with a 3-4 ft. bow in line.. water temps were 67-68 deg up 2 deg from yesterday..
Today I caught 38 and kept 19, some bigger fish but still nothing exceptional, fish are getting more aggressive even though it was kinda hard to tell with the wind, today made me wish Id bought a 80# Motorguide Xi5 instead of the 55#.
All fish caught w/1/16 oz weedless jig/shad squirt body or 1/16 oz Grey hair jig with silver tinsel.

Yesterday we caught 51 but didn't keep any as fish didnt turn on until about 3-6:30 and by then I didnt feel like messing with them.. same baits used for most part.. fish are moving up to the trees but for most part are still 8-20 ft down in tops. Lot of smaller crappie shallower, all fish cleaned today were mostly females as they had eggs in them that were being reabsorbed.

Nice fish. I find windy days even though tough boat control, fishing is good.

yeah I prefer to fish with a little chop on water but yesterday was just a bit too much, especially with a pontoon.
