Drove by lake last week for first time. Curious as to how low the lake is now compared to normal pool. Didn't know about the beach or pleasure boating on the lake. Very nice area.
Out on lake at 2:30 off at 6:45, 31 crappie caught 13 kept nothing big 11-11.5 biggest.. water temp 77.6-78.7 deg. Depth fish were caught was all over the place 6ft to 16 ft, white twin tail grub, blue/chart twister tail, watermelon shad squirt and a couple others cant think of.. the fish that were caught in under 8 ft of water slammed the jigs about jerking rod out of hand but the fish below 10 ft could hardly be felt..
A lot more boats on lake today and most spots had been fished to death by the time we got out.
But still better then workimg or sitting at home.
Didn't get any pics as was trying to get everything done before it got dark..
May try trolling next time out either jigs or crank baits.

Went tonight for 3 hrs caught 6, fish were in a very negative mood, grabbing the end of jig body.. hooked 3 or 4 more but came off as soon as started to reel. Wind was supposed to be 9 mph but it was more like 15 mph. Fish were stacked up in 20ft of water 15-20 ft down, in the trees they were as shallow as 6 ft but still wouldnt hit.
Sometimes they wait till end of Oct to draw it down..
