    Default Raccoon 6/15

Went to Raccoon yesterday from 2-6:30pm, sun was out bright for most of the time and couldn't hardly fish in the main lake for all the ski boats and big cabin cruisers flying up and down the lake. Went to N side of bridge in idle zone and caught 28 small crappie biggest 10 inches and about a 10# carp by the tail on 4# test and a 7`Super Sensitive rod.. got it up to boat and jig popped out, heck of a fight though.
Most fish were caught on a 1/64 oz jig with a tiny minnow body or on a 1/32 oz weedless jig with a black or brown squirt body.
Was going to try fishing deep water but just to big a pain getting about thrown out of pontoon everytime a big boat went by a 40mph.
All in all nice time though, water temp in most places was 83.4 deg.

Nice report. Pleasure boaters are a real pain sometimes.

and he knew what he was doing because, as you said, he was NEAR HIS dock.

big lakes aren't the only problem areas. there is a small lake around here that has its own kind of boob. the "wanabee game warden". the lake has a 18"bass rule and he is passionate about it. lol he comes out and watches people fish in front of his house. I have heard him yelling at anglers to make sure they know its a special limit lake. one day I caught a decent bass but not big enough to keep. I brought it in the boat and worked on a deep hook then plopped it back in. I had my back to him when I did this. well he started yelling about me keeping under size fish. I lit into that b******* with all I had in my lungs. I verbally tore him apart and made him walk back to his house. then the applause came from several cottages around the lake. lol they loved that someone finally busted his chops over his actions. when I pulled out I drove past his house and stopped out in the road for a bit. he hasent come down to watch me fish for a couple years now. haha im guessing from the way he acted he was retired law enforcement or something of that nature.
