My son and his friends have been fishing the spillway at Monroe with great success. The walleye, catfish, and white bass seem to be hitting well. We are planning on hitting the main lake this next week. I can only assume the crappie are deep. Any suggestions or tips would be awesome.

Reports I have been getting, if you want really good bass, fish the flooded trees. Walleye has been really tough. Crappie, yes you can find schools deep but one of the guides has been still fishing flooded trees as you can find flooded trees and bushes deep and crappie will hang tight to cover. Just have to work thru the dink’s. Honestly Monroe looks awesome to fish flooded and I have to try it myself when the weather breaks. So much flooded cover fish can be anywhere. Monroe is 13.8 and still coming up. Be sure and post your fishing. Good luck.
