    Default Monroe & Patoka Highwater.

After yesterday’s rain and shutdown of release on letting out approx 225 cfs. Pine Grove, Allen’s Creek and Cutright Highwater launches now underwater. Just a FYI as Monroe will come up more thru weekend. Patoka, I am told, you cannot get under the 145 causeway bridge and alittle water is over emergency spillway and they are letting out 1100 cfs only.

really bad spring/summer for fishing as I said before I just hope the fall is a lot better. Planning on fishing up till it gets too cold this year instead of bow hunting.

They must be working to keep the Missi as low as possible as the weather man is predicting heavy rains beginning again Friday late afternoon then Monday. We just got most of the county roads open today due to dropping water, but with the East Fork of the White coming up still, the backwaters will flood some of the roads again and a few highways closed again till end of next week if we are lucky. Farmers here are screwed!!!!!

Just got off Monroe this morning...lots of dink’s 5-6 10 inches, curly tail jigs fishing 15 ft of water, brother is a CO, advised they are still holding back water....under the causeway in a boat is head high standing up..the water level is still rising, the only waters that weren’t cloudy was the main lake near panetown and Morse creek ramp I’m sure other areas with deeper water would be good, these are the areas I witnessed today....over all guys.... just not great for fishing....

Where did you launch at? I drove by Cutright High Water Launch and a dozen vehicles/trailers sitting in lot. Looks like you get your feet wet if launching by yourself. Fished Lemon today and drove by the Cutright launch to scope it out. Monroe did look better than Lemon and looked awful inviting to fish.

Launched at cutright but required two of us, my brother wad patrolling on Lemon today, most he checked were catching very few, one boat he checked had a few keepers with one going around 1 1/2 pounds catching them close to the. Shore using red bodied tube jigs with chartreuse skirts.

It was just too calm after all these storms. Lemon was up maybe foot to foot and a half, but way muddier than Cutright And hard to keep the crankbaits from fowling up with weeds and trash. But.....glad I got to get out and get the lines wet no matter what as we are going to get pounded again tonite and tomorrow morning for sure! Glad you caught some fish too.
