Thread: Weather Sucks!

Raining here for days. Creeks all look like chocolate milk.

Brutal year for farmers. I see fields that havent been planted all over. My family has a farm in northern IN and they had a small window in May where they were lucky enough to get seed in. But I dont think southern IN is as lucky.

1.2 inches again, just dumped the rain gauge. All fields flooded for miles here. Seymour had so far at least 8 inches. Bloomington over 6. Washington 5 plus and maybe no rain this Friday, but they are now predicting rain every day thru July 2. Hope they are wrong on the predictions.

Here is one I have never heard happen before due to heavy rains. Brown Co State Park Closed due to water unusable.

great year to be a mosquito

Mosquitos, knats, and horse flys are worse so far this year due to rains as I live in 40 acres of wooded hills that butts up to more than 3500 acres more in this section without a road thru it and several low land wetlands surrounding the hills. I put up this bugnet room every spring held up with 3/4 pvc and not glued together for storage and size is 12’ x 20’ on deck with a 10’ x 12’ waterproof silnylon tarp that I used for backpacking. Me and the wife can grill, sit, and watch it rain and stay dry without getting eaten alive by the bugs and the 2 house dogs love it as well. So far it’s weathered 45-50 mph gusting wind and if it does get blown apart, just put it all back up. Just had Deer blow at me taking these pics as it’s thundering and getting ready to pour for the 4th time today again.

I have 10k generator on front porch and 2 k generator in 3 car pole barn style garage for freezer as we have lost power now 3 times so far plus 30 gal of gas on standby. This crap is supposed to last another 10-15 days.???? Hope they are wrong.
