Would love to hear your report when you get back.

Couple of guys went in Feb. didn't have much luck, but this weather should make for a much better story.

I've been fishing this lake for many years, was just wonder what the conditions was at the lake before going. The road has always been a problem, very rough and steep. Went yesterday with my buddy and the road was very bad but made it to the lake with about 8 boats already on the lake. The water is still above normal by 3 to 4 feet and a stiff breeze at times most of the day. Fishing was very tough as we only only managed 4 keeper redear, but one was a brute. Mostly caught bass while fishing with red worms, minnows and jigs. Struck out on the crappie with not a bite. Never did see signs of bedding gills yet, and struck out at old bed sites. Most of the others fishing all had similar luck as we did. While fishing we did hear a grader working on the road while we fished and at least the road was better, not much, but better on the ride out and up the hill. Hope the city comes back and works some more on the road as it does need it.
