    Default Muddy water crappie

Had a couple hours free to fish this evening and the rain quit for a bit or so I thought. Fished the creek off of river from the bank. It ended up raining on me but I found them in the thick brush and wood on a 1/16th oz black and chartreuse hair jig about 3’ deep in 4 to 6 FOW. Bank was flooded and I lost a Ton of jigs. THere was a lot of current and some type of fish actively chasing minnows and hitting top of water but I couldn’t catch them with jigs or anything else I threw. Not sure if they were crappie or not. Sure felt cold after the sun and decent weather we have had lately. Hope it quits raining and warms back up. Ate a few morels and crappies from last week. Delicious!Name: IMG_0561.jpg

Great eating! Darned cold weather definitely hurts everything. Now we,all enjoy alittle mud again as I had almost 2 inches in the rain gauge on top of the half inch couple days before.
