    Angry Forecast not looking good

Looks like several inches of rain over the next 4 to 5 days with high winds in between. Missy and Sally up here will likely fill up , back up the river and turn the water to chocolate milk. Just started to clear up from the last little bit of rain from Monday. Hope every one got out a few times, on a plus side water temp was still around 50* mid week, so water still has a chance to settle before the spawn. Anyone get out on the river , didn't see hardly anybody out that last two weeks.

I saw that yesterday in the long range forcast. Going to have to hit it hard before mid next week. Hope the forcast is wrong. We just got a half inch early this morning. Leaving in a few now.

I made it out twice. First time was last sunday. Just east of 13 bridge me and a buddy had the spot to ourselves and hammered crappie nearly every cast for 3 hours. We both kept 20 a piece and threw back several keeper size fish as well. He went back monday and it had muddied from the rain overnight and the bite was dead. I made it back out thursday and kept 15...not as many fish and the size was a little smaller compared to sunday. Ill head further upstream today. Hopefully the river is not too bad from the rain...reports were it was still in good shape last evening.

Sounds like how it went for us too. We were in the same area a little further east. Hammered 'em, almost every cast Sunday and could barely get a bite Tuesday . Water level was about the same just really muddy. I had to work the weekend so didn't make it out, looks like an inch of rain coming today followed by colder temps. Mid week looks good temp wise, if water clears up. Wonder if they will start holding back at the dam soon. Do any good today ?

Yeah we did ok. Started upstream though and could only manage white bass. I have not been able to locate the crappie further upstream yet. Talked to some other guys who had maybe 8 crappie and been there all day. Went back closer to the bridge again and the fish were still there but just had to do a lot more sorting. I kept around a dozen. My buddy had 15 or so. Another guy came down and joined us and found a little spot where he was catchin big black crappie every cast. He ended up limiting i think. River is going up now and more rain later this week.

Ya looks like a mess down there, going to be a tough bite for the next week or so.
