Thread: Tried for crappie but got gills

Went out on Worster today (Potato Creek) and my newly discovered honey hole was producing pretty nice gills.
I marked the line of stumpage and weed cover with 3 marker buoys and fished that spot most of the day.
Tiny brown and orange Southern Crappie tubes and super light lead heads tipped with wax worms did the job.
The jigs were suspended under barrel swivel and egg sinker in 8 feet of water.
