    Default Bank Fishing at Monroe

My wife and and I want to get out on Saturday. We would like to try Monroe but in our driving through the area have not found a lot of bank fishing areas.
    Any ideas appreciated.

You could fish under the bridge at the Cutright turnoff. Or anywhere around Cutright, check out the State parks too. Water temp today at Monroe was 53.5 and going up. And water color was clearing up and looking pretty nice. You might drive the road also to Pine Grove Launch as I know it’s flooded somewhere on it and can’t launch at Pine Grove or Allen’s Creek. Monroe is up 12.1 ft above summer pool. You can also fish a ways below the spillway, but they just opened it to let out 2100 cfs.

    Thanks Cevans

Turns out we have family visiting early. So early afternoon we are driving down to the New Albany Bass Pro.
The last trip of last year my favorite rod broke (only 20 years or so old) so I'm going to get a new one, maybe even a reel. We are also eyeballing some new fishing chairs.
After that I'll likely take my wife to dinner on the riverfront.

As always I appreciate your replies and always look for your posts.
