Thread: Boat titles

Friend had a jon boat with a rebuilt transom and no VIN. We filled out BMV forms,
got police inspection, then state issued a new VIN. We then had to stamp a new
number on transom, then police inspection again, then apply for title. Took 45 days.
If it has a VIN, check with BMV as to what you need, as others have said.

Yea I've pretty well decided thats what I'm gonna do. Just found a good deal that I could actually afford then found out no title..guess I'll have to wait a bit longer. Thanks everyone
