Been there and done that on the windburn for sure. Congrats on overcoming the conditions and coming away with the table fare. Awesome looking fish tacos too!!
Speakin' of bad winter weather... we are bracing up for "who knows what" from an approaching winter storm here in North Carolina... and I am bracing up for it with a big crockpot full of chili.
But, now you got me wanting some fish tacos while I'm waiting on the chili to finish cooking.

good luck to you guys in the south on this coming storm, I have been caught on the AT before in a snow storm backpacking and endured the beauty of it as well as the stress. Here this morning in southern Indianan we had low of 20-22 with chill factor as low as 8 and kept me from deer hunting with muzzleloader... Wife made veggie soup day before yesterday and we were just chatting of fixing crappies and fresh cut French fries for this evening!

You're right it's cold... But I have an empty livewell and the boat is hooked up. About to head to a few creek mouths on the river and see how the sauger are doing.

Man oh man!!! Great minds do think alike don't they. I just made a big crockpot full of vegetable beef soup day before yesterday too in anticipation of the possibility of the ice storm and possible power outages that they were threatening as one of the many scenarios that the weather folks where guessing about. I love how they give you three or more possible scenarios in order to improve the possibilities that they might be right for a change. I have only one scenario... and that's NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS... I WILL HAVE WARMTH AND FOOD (for the family) that I can just heat up on the Coleman Stove (if necessary)--REGARDLESS.

Weatherman.... Best job in the world. Where else can you be wrong most the time and still get a check

Caught 4....strong pull coming from the dam. Marked a ton of fish, rough bite. If it'll settle down, future looks good. Only fish that tastes better than crappie as far as I'm concerned.
