Default last trip to Raccoon for year 10/29

Water temp was 56-58 deg. according to which depth finder I looked at, took my step daughter out fishing after the bad winds last night, the bite was very slow ended up catching 30 and keeping 10 nice ones which gave to step daughter.
They were hitting curly tail grubs on 1/16 oz weed less ball head jig and same jig with a yellow tube with clear tail with sparkles in it.. were hitting tubes better the curly tails as they were not aggressive at all. No pics this time.
I'm done till spring now going to start bowhunting.

Will do have cold front coming in to cool things back off as it was 72 deg today, should get deer moving good as ruts getting ready to start here in a week or two..guy told me today he seen several bucks going thru woods with nose to the ground. I already passed up a couple does with little twin fawns with them, used to shoot the does when I was younger as little ones are old enough to survive but getting soft as I get older especially when they are bleating to mom to feed them.

Bucks are moving good now. Best time to hunt is Nov. 4 to 14th. Here is a pic of buck arrowed, he said rough score 210,

Kevin Kahlo shot it north of Indy. Name: DF226656-2ABA-46BC-8ED1-EFFB0EDED38A.jpg

Size: 71.0 KB Another 16 pointer shot in Lawrence Co this week also and don’t have the score on it. I saw a 10 that would crack 150 at 11 am today but no shot. The deer are slamming the acorns and really active at midday due to all this below cold weather we have had and after tonite, going back to unusual cold again. Good luck hunting.

same to you, I've killed a couple nice bucks on Nov 8 th so agree with best times to hunt. I also like late muzzleloader after most people are done and if it gets really cold, the big bucks who have survived are moving again and hungry. Acorns are everywhere around here this year trees are loaded or were loaded. Buddy's friend killed a 160 in deer a couple nights ago here north of Parke county.
