    Default After hitting Raccoon

Got on lake at 1:15 and left at 6:30, forgot to put counters on pontoon but estimate we caught close to 100 and kept 40.. nothing big, biggest 6-7 fish were 12 in., rest were 9-11 in. mostly in the 10-10.5 in. range, step son kept some dinks.. lots of small fish caught.. we also caught 8-10 white bass.
Water temp to started out 65.6 deg and when we left 64.6 deg, fish were caught casting jigs in 14-20 ft of water with most fish in the 10-15 ft range.. Bite was very light for the most part, barely feel a tap or weight on line. Colors use was about every color with most hits on black/chart curly tail on 1/16 oz weedless jig head and a minnow head 1/16 oz spinner w/blue,pink and white bodies.
Honestly when they were hitting could they would hit about any colr thrown as long as fished super slow.
No Raccoons were killed during this trip Oh yeah my new to me pontoon boat ran awesome, the Johnson 70 hp 4 stroke purrs like a kitten..runs 20.3 mph w/empty livewell and 19 mph full.

    Default few more

went back today me and a buddy and fished 3 hrs or so, caught a bunch of 7-8 in crappie and these few in live well, wind was blowing fairly hard when we got there at 1 but really hard when we left a bit after 4..same as yesterday casting jigs, very slow retrieve best color today seemed to be black body, chart curly tail on 1/16 oz weedless jig head.

Ya,go tomorrow, and wind is predicted at 25-35 gusts as cold front coming thru again tonite. Crazy weather as avg. temp for today should be 65/45. 28 predicted for Sunday morning. So go figure.

yeah may be going back out again Sunday, supposed to be 51 deg and 6 mph winds. Fish will probably be shut down due to the front coming in but never know have caught them in some really crappy weather before. Was getting a lot of hits today but they were hitting short and very light most times. Wind made it very difficult to detect the really light hits, my buddy did have a hit that about jerked the rod out of his hands but he missed it due to being so surprised by a hard hit. They are going to start pulling lake down hard next week so fishing will suck for a bit.
