The guys on the Indiana walleye forum haven’t done much good on Monroe, and I was caught up in the gill and crappie this June/ July and never did chase them and have a ton of gear still loaded in the boat for eye fishing and still thinking about maybe hitting Monroe this Sat. Never was any good reports this year and Brookville has been so hit or miss as well. Everybody on Brookville is hoping for a decent Nov. after the draw down, but heck of it is, then, everbody has to use the launch at the dam as all others are too shallow so it gets crowded at the launch. Too much hassle for me and 3.5 hr drive one way to Brookville. Last couple of years DNR went light also on the walleye stocking on Monroe as well so a lot remains to be seen on it.

It’s the same for Patoka, I have been getting reports from it as this summer, guys found the best fishing from dusk to mid nite and same goes for Prairie Creek, 1 maybe 2 times a week the bite has been good, but you have to fish strictly for the, eyes to keep up with them and it’s been so hit and miss. They have caught, good size eyes at both, but just to go one or two times is a really more miss than hit time on catching and locating them. All this hot weather this year made a tough time of locating and getting them to hit.

I got a report that DNR will be pulling out all the courtesy docks this week sometime. If it’s happening at Monroe, figure it to happen on all lakes.
