Default starting up (north end state)

got out at the end of the day yesterday for a test bite. found multiple schools along channel edges. pitched jigs and plastics while moving around. one area i was getting the raditatat of gills. i grabbed the gill rod with a tiny ice float and fly on it, and tossed it up there. float disapeared and gill a fat 8" gill came to boat. the bite lasted till i stopped after dark. after weeding through them i ended up with 22 gills and 14 crappie. unfortunatly we got a hard cold front last night, so im betting that is shut down some today.

sorry no pics. i just wanted to get them cleaned and eat dinner. lol if you really need a picture, i can snap a photo of the bowl of meat in the fridge. lol

It's about to bust loose. Water is high and jacked up down here. Marking big schools of fish, but water is either up or getting pulled and trashy, so the bite is tough.

Before yesterdays rain, my buddy and me were getting some eater size crappie by dabbing white maribou jigs between the lilly pads on Friday. Went out today and got nothing.

Real tough bite. I brought 14 good fish home today, but worked my arse off for them. Fishing high muddy water. Fish are face first in cedar trees... Had to go real small and lose 20 dollars worth of jigs to get it done today.

it was on this morning. i hit it just after sunup and was limited by 10. twister tails vertically jigged in the cover. I caught maybe 40 and kept my limit of eater size. caught half dozen over 12" the biggest was 14.5 or so. didn't want to get wet so I cut n run home. going out shroomin after front moves threw.
