Thread: Is my Lowrance HDS 7 lying to me?

I realize that there are times when the fish just aren't biting, but I cannot believe that we only caught on small crappie all day. We hauled tons of water with every bait we could find from shallow to deep and from .08 to 2.5 mph.. Here is what the graph showed, and we found several spots like this.



Fish were held up all over the place, but no matter what we did - trolling, vertical jigging, casting, etc - produced a thing. We were on Raccoon Lake and the water was 88 at the surface, but after baking all day my son and I took a quick dip and it was refreshingly cool under the surface.

The graph doesn't lie, but it doesn't always tell the full story either - lol. Those fish aren't set up like crappie...I'd guess white bass, but hard to say for certain if you don't get bit. Raccoon has been feast or famine lately depending upon who you talk to. Might be there later in the week, but reports like this one make me have second thoughts - haha.
